Charity Donation for Fighting SARS in
Tsinghua and China
|
To help our Tsinghua fellows and people in China to
fight
SARS, Tsinghua University Alumni Association Vancouver
(TUAAV) has launched a donation for Tsinghua university
in May, 2003. Meanwhile, TUAAV also jointly launched a
donation for people in China together with other 11
local
Chinese associations.
The charitable event completed by the end of May. 61
alumni, family members and friends made their kind
donation. We in total collected $2230.00 and among them
$1800.00 are for Tsinghua university and rest are passed
to Health ministry of China together with collected
donation from other 11 local Chinese associations.
Tsinghua university also mailed donation badge to every
participants for thanks.
We sincerely appreciate our alumni, family members and
friends for their kindness and generosity.
Special thanks to Tong Xuefang(Shirley) of 89' Foreign
Language who handled so many checks of the donation.
