Hi-tech seminar series 5, Nov. 30, 2002

Tsinghua University Alumni Association Vancouver
(TUAAV) will host an open Hi-Tech seminar (series
5)  this Saturday. It's free and all interested friends
are welcome!

Topics covered in the seminar are:
 
1. "IC Design in China, current situation, challenge and
      opportunities"
by Dr. Heng Liao, Technical Advisor, PMC-Sierra Inc.
 

Dr. Liao just spent a few months in China as a visiting
professor in Tsinghua Univ. He is also a veteran in
communication systems & network processor design,

before being technical advisor, he's leader of product
research group of PMC-Sierra.

2. "Automatic design detailing and drafting steel
structures with 3-D models"
by Dr. Grover Wei, Senior software engineer,
             Auspic Media Co.
 

Dr. Wei is an expert in AutoCAD applications. He will 

demonstrate of his software and show its application in
industry and business plan as well.
 
As usual, there are 5 - 10 minutes Q & A after each
topic. Then followed by networking hours. It is a great
opportunity to meet local Chinese technology & business
community, as well as entrepreneurs from China. So
